Things To Do in Antietam
Antietam is the smallest school district in Berks County.
But, what it lacks for in size it makes up for in character. A variety of charming architectural styles, including some beautiful, Spanish style homes and townhomes, make Mt. Penn a jewel of a town for any potential homeowner. Mt. Penn is predominantly a residential community of 7,500 residents. And despite its small footprint, there are plenty of restaurants, parks and nearby attractions to keep families happy in their own backyard.

Homeowners can enjoy plenty of outdoor recreation including athletic fields, parks and the Pennside pool, which is the largest pool in Berks County. Families will enjoy the opportunity for their children to run and play outside while being conveniently located to major transportation routes, plenty of shopping and restaurants including Esposito’s Pizza, Pennside Drive-In, Klinger’s, Liberty Tap Room, Frank & Diannah’s Arbor Inn and Anthony’s Trattoria. The local Antietam Valley Community Partnership (AVCP), founded in 2011, is working to build community spirit and a better quality of life in and around the Antietam School District.
